- For some reason even when the roads were cleared and my Camry had no issues bar a few slippery but in control moments (more speed than anything else J) people love to drive round at 20mph making a huge noise with chains banging the underside of their trucks cause they are not fitted right.
- Why fit them to begin with. There was no snow or ice on the roads.
- I wish I went to McDonalds in lake Arrowhead for lunch instead of a local restaurant. I thought I should support the local community but the burger was bad and double the price of the McDs equivalent.
- Some shallower parts of the lakes were actually frozen and even with big signs saying don’t walk on the lake ice what do people do…
- The Fudge in Big Bear really is top notch and competes with the Fudge at the Remarkable Sweet shop in Queenstown.
- And the best one. People drive up into the Mtns and shovel snow onto the roof of their cars, trucks before they drive back down the hill. I guess to show off that they went to the Mtns and got snowed on. Man all those times I have seen snowy cars down here in Redlands thinking a local had come down from the Mtns. I was fooled by these weirdo’s that do this. And this was not just one or two cases. At every turnout people were doing this.
- Oh and it gets worse. Some put a whole tonne of snow in the back of pickups. What for I ask??? To keep their Beers cool. Yet it will be the same people with huge trucks that drive around with the tailgate open thinking it will mean they get 11mpg instead of 10mpg from the 5 litre V8 American made tractor engine.
- There really were some lovely views and sights to be seen. The sunset from just below Angelus Oaks was wonderful. Check out the pics.
- I can’t wait till the snow melts however as there is so much biking to be had up in them their hills. I think a little excursion into the snow might be called for soon.

Regarding the snow in the bed...I'm not sure why they do it here(since it will just melt) but back home(Indiana) people do it in the winter for the added weight so they get more traction and don't have to mess with sand bags or kitty litter or whatever.
